About the Society

A home for players, listeners, and guitar enthusiasts

We’re building a new home for classical guitar in Hampstead - a welcoming society for players, listeners, and anyone drawn to the beauty of the instrument.

Our aim is to create a friendly local community where guitarists of all levels can share music, gain performance experience, and meet others who love the classical guitar.

From relaxed playing sessions to intimate recitals, the Hampstead Classical Guitar Society is a place to perform, listen, learn, and feel part of a growing musical community.

Emmanuele Addis

Founder

Originally from Sardinia, Emanuele Addis is a London-based lutenist and composer whose musical life brings together early music, contemporary classical repertoire and folk traditions. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2023, where he studied historical performance with Elizabeth Kenny and performed in projects with leading ensembles including the Academy of Ancient Music, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Le Poème Harmonique. Having first trained as a guitarist, Emanuele has performed as a soloist across Europe and was selected by IGF and Making Music UK for a tour of solo recitals in England. In 2022, he founded Londinium Consort, a period ensemble dedicated to both Renaissance music and newly commissioned works. He was the first lutenist to win the New Elizabethan Award in 2024, and made his Wigmore Hall debut with Londinium Consort in 2025.

Membership pricing is being finalised ahead of launch.

If you haven't launched yet, where are the photos on the website from?
